SKKU Declaration for EDI (Equity, Diversity & Inclusion)

Sungkyunkwan University's founding philosophy is the Confucian spirit of self-cultivation and self-cultivation based on human dignity, aiming at achieving human peace. Creativity, challenge, innovation, knowledge and experience of all members must be respected in order to pursue the vision of a bold challenge for mankind and future society based on the proud history of the 625th anniversary of the school. Under the principle of equality, we promise to do our best so that members of Sungkyunkwan University can realize their potential and create new values by respecting the diversity of all members and creating an inclusive campus environment. Sungkyunkwan University declares the following principles to create a campus where diversity is respected and where inclusion and equality live.  

 

  • [Equality and non-discrimination] We are equal regardless of age, gender, disability, race, religion, faith, sexual orientation, marital status, family type, pregnancy and childbirth, refugees and asylum seekers, etc., and we do not discriminate against anyone for this reason.
  • [Diversity and inclusion] We do our best to promote diversity in all activities on campus, including education, research, and administration, guarantee the participation of various members, and create a university culture of equality and mutual respect.

 

SKKU shall continue to observe this declaration, work towards its implementation, and stand in solidarity with all individuals and organizations that share these values.
